Men's Ministry

New Hope's approach to men's ministry shines with blazing contrast to pop culture's degrading stereotypical treatment of men.  The constant change of societal pressures on men to be dominant one decade, gentle the next and unseen in yet another has taken it's toll on the male ego, leading an entire generation of men to have a mass identity crisis of sorts.

The Bible is not so confused about the role of men and neither is New Hope.  Our pastor, Rev. Michael Nelsen, leads the men of our church into understanding that God created them to be passionate and purposeful in the day-to-day routines of life.  He teaches them to play an active role in the home and to leave a legacy of godliness that will endure for generations.

In addition to the Christ-centered, family-focused messages presented every week during the Sunday morning services, the men of New Hope have several opportunities to sharpen one another as "iron sharpens iron" over the course of a week and a month.

Men's Prayer
Join us every Friday morning at 6 am as we pray for our families, our church, our community and our world.

Men's Breakfast (First Saturday of the Month, 8:00 AM - 9:30 AM)
Over a breakfast feast to rival the best buffets in town, this very casual men's meeting is designed to help men socialize and inspire one another.  The pastor usually has a brief devotional or testimony to share but occasionaly invites guest speakers to challenge the men in specific areas.

For Men Only
In this group exclusively available to men, a small group environment provides opportunity to hear and share about life's most challenging issues faced by men in light of the Scripture.  Meeting every 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings in the Fellowship Hall starting June 7th.

Personal Relationships
The very foundation of New Hope's ministry is the development and strengthening of personal relationships.  They play a role in the men's ministry in rather spontaneous ways.  For example, the pastor might decide to go to a movie on a Friday night and make a quick phone call to as many men as possible to join him.  Other men might invite one another out for lunch on a whim after a Sunday service.  Regardless of how spontaneous or planned the occasion might be, New Hope believes that God moves in such moments to build the faith of his men, and ultimately his church.
